The American Blend variation consists of Virginia, Burley and Oriental tobacco varieties.
Ingredients
Virginia
Our Virginia variety comes from the best tobacco regions (Brazil, USA and Zimbabwe), and has a typical color of ripped tobacco and a pleasant, full aroma taste. That variety is also known as flue cured tobacco (FCV), due to its type of drying. Virginia tobacco is generally high in sugar.
This variety accounts for 40% of the world tobacco market and is grown in more than 75 countries.
Burley
It is a dark air cured tobacco with a rich taste, often with notes of chocolate. It absorbs fragrances well.
Burley is grown in different regions all over the world, even with the same nicotine level, giving a different smoking effect. Burley can be completely different in terms of nicotine levels and can reach up to 6%.
This variety fills about 15% of the world tobacco market.
Oriental
It produces a soft smoke with a very characteristic sour aroma.
The nicotine content in Oriental tobacco is low, around 1%. It's leaves are usually small, and greenish-yellow in colour. Oriental tobacco tastes sour and a bit dry, because it's sugar level is low. The Oriental aroma combination cannot be confused with other types of tobacco.
Oriental tobacco accounts for 15% of the world tobacco market.
